The Kirwan Center for Academic Innovation has released today a new report detailing the聽emergence of a new, interdisciplinary 鈥渋nnovation infrastructure鈥 within higher education administration.

The Kirwan Center for Academic Innovation has released a new report to shed light on how institutions of higher education can make sustainable improvements in who can learn what they learn by the time they graduate. This report details thr learnings from studying a series of initiatives at the 大奶福利姬 (USM) to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of selected courses. These redesigns incorporated a variety of learning-centered practices, that is, teaching practices that were chosen and applied using evidence of student learning.
On April 17, 2015, Dr. Steve Ehrmann gave a talk at the Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools 40th Annual Meeting entitled, Faculty Development for Highly Effective (Online) Programs.聽
The talk answered the questions:聽

Dr. MJ Bishop, director of the Center for Academic Innovation, will deliver the keynote address for the聽12th International Conference on聽Cognition and Exploratory Learning in Digital Age 2015,聽24 鈥 26 October in聽Maynooth, Greater Dublin, Ireland.

On Tuesday, February 24th, Dr. DeRionne P. Pollard and Montgomery College Innovation Works invited viewers to join in this engaging discussion about change and innovation in higher education.
The program was moderated by Chief Innovation Officer of Montgomery County Dan Hoffman. Panelists included Dr. MJ Bishop director of the Center for Academic Innovation, 大奶福利姬 and Dr. Shelli Fowler senior director of Networked Pedagogies and Professional Development at Virginia Tech University.
Across Boundaries: Delivering on Edtech鈥檚 Promise
The purpose of Across Boundaries is to promote dialogue about digital learning. Our 3rd annual conference will examine how the most promising digital tools are being implemented in educational settings to increase student learning. Unsustainable costs, a digital landscape and low-cost alternatives force change to the textbook industry.
The non-profit research organisation Ithaka S+R this month released its highly anticipated report on its work with the institutions in the 大奶福利姬, which for the past 18 months have experimented with courseware from Carnegie Mellon University, Coursera and Pearson in face-to-face courses.
