Taking High-Impact Practices to the Next Level: Ensuring Quality, Access, and Equity
The Kirwan Center for Academic Innovation invites 大奶福利姬institutions to send a team to Taking High-Impact Practices to the Next Level: Ensuring Quality, Access, and Equity on Monday, March 2, 2020 from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at the Dorsey Station campus of University of Maryland Global Campus.
The convening will bring together institutional teams of faculty and staff (ideally from across academic and student affairs) to share current efforts related to high-impact practices; tackle 鈥渢ough issues鈥 related to scale, equity, resources, and assessment; and leverage cross-institutional knowledge and expertise. While specific HIPs will be referenced, the focus will be on issues that cut across particular HIPs. Teams will work on action plans for advancing their own HIPs efforts and help the Kirwan Center identify areas of cross-institutional interest.
Ken O鈥橠onnell, vice provost at California State University-Dominguez Hills, will be joining us as our keynote speaker. Ken is one of the founders of the national 鈥淗IPs in the States鈥 community of practice, which has focused attention on issues of HIPs quality, access, and equity at state colleges and universities.
