´óÄ̸£Àû¼§Regents Committees on Finance, Economic Development Meet March 17
Adelphi, Md. (March 14, 2011) -- The ´óÄ̸£Àû¼§
(USM) Board of Regents Committee on Finance and the newly formed Committee on Economic
Development and Technology Commercialization will meet on Thursday, March 17, at
Towson University.
The
Committee on Finance will meet first in executive session at 10 a.m. in the
University Union, Chesapeake Rooms 302/303. The public session is scheduled to
begin at 11 a.m.
The
committee will take action on several items, including a proposal to approve
room and board charges at ´óÄ̸£Àû¼§institutions for FY 2012. The committee also will
take action on proposed enrollment projections and receive a presentation from
the University of Maryland, Baltimore on its facilities master plan.
The
Committee on Economic Development and Technology Commercialization will convene
in public session at 2 p.m. in Chesapeake Room 308 of the University Union. The
Board of Regents established this new committee in February 2011.
The
committee will discuss several informational items, including proposed theme
possibilities for an annual retreat, the establishment of committee goals aligned
with the ´óÄ̸£Àû¼§2020 Strategic Plan, and a future presentation regarding patents. After
the public meeting, the committee will meet in executive session.
